THE BAND
We are a local band grown out of the pacific northwest. We play what we lovingly like to call "cow-tipping, sheep-poking funk."
Don't let the fancy name fool you. Apple Barner is not some classy, high-falutin', chamber music ensemble. Apple Barner is in fact, a rough-around-the-edges (and in the middle) rural rock band that plays a style of music inspired by new cutting-edge themes like love, betrayal, loneliness, and growing up in an extremely rainy place.
We like having good times, and so do all our friends!! All our music is somewhat based on reality or a form of it. Some songs you might find you even like...
Alan Plaep - Lead Vocals + Guitar
I would just like to confess one thing.
My Birthday is May 22nd and I would love to have it celebrated every year from now on. Thanks.
Sergio Martinez - Vocals + Guitar
Actor, model, musician, superhero.
Luke Martinez - Drummer
My Life is Based on Apple Barner. I live and breath the music. It sustains me more than air and water. I am one with it. I cannot imagine a life without it. Ever since I was a little itty bitty redheaded little monster I have one day wanted to be part of this band. That is really all I have to say about myself.
Jesse - Bass Player
I play the bass. I also like to skate. Someone intent on understanding the meaning of life would do well to reflect on the following: "A Buddhist master once said that when he was young he thought that mountains were mountains and rivers were rivers, then after many years of study and devotion he decided that mountains were not mountains and rivers were not rivers, and then at last when he was very old and wise he came to understand that mountains are mountains and rivers are rivers."(I.Murdoch)
Laura Middleton** Not touring** - Former Vocalist
I grew up a little girl in a small town full of cows and sheep. I was born in a teepee in the month of June and since then my life has been one event after another. I am thrilled to be part of this music. I think we really appreciate each other as individuals as much as musicians. We all add an individual touch to the music and that is what makes it what it is.
